Lourdes Hill College Parents & Friends
The Lourdes Hill College Parents and Friends (P&F) is the parent representative body of the school and makes an important contribution towards many aspects of the College.
To support the work of the P&F, a small annual levy is collected for each student as part of her school fees.
The objectives of the P&F are aligned with the College mission and philosophy. Its purpose is to support the spiritual, intellectual, social and physical development of Lourdes Hill College students by:
  • Assisting in the development of the College
  • Cultivating partnerships between students, parents and College staff
  • Fundraising to support the College in financial matters as well as to support charities associated with the College
  • Involving the parents in the educational program of the College, such as the Proactive Parenting Seminar series
Recent initiatives by the P&F include:
  • Purchase of the College bus, used frequently to transport girls to sporting and cultural events
  • Numerous bursaries for LHC students to support their academic, cultural and sporting endeavours
  • Organisation of many events for parents including:
  • Rooftop Soirees – free social events to welcome new parents and returning parents at the start of the school year
  • Evening Under the Stars – the main social event for parents and friends which also raises funds for worthy causes
  • Proactive Parenting Seminars – free events for parents with expert guest speakers
  • Dads & Daughters’ Day – an afternoon of great fun to celebrate Fathers’ Day
  • Mothers & Daughters’ Day – a new event for 2018 to celebrate Mothers’ Day
