The Congregation of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan of the order of St Benedict was founded in Sydney in 1857. This new congregation was formed to care for disadvantaged and abused women. The Sisters continue to be known for their Christ-like attitude of compassion and care for those they serve.
Today, in keeping with our heritage and the Good Samaritan Education Framework, Lourdes Hill College connects to our community through service. We are highly regarded for helping those in need. Students are involved in service activities including:    In addition, the College community is active in its support for collections for Caritas, working with Indigenous communities, tutoring migrant children, visiting the elderly, helping the homeless and donating baby bundles for young mothers.
