Mission Statement

The library offers a dynamic space where students can interact with each other and make use of the information and literature. It provides community and learning experiences and aims to follow the Benedictine tradition by respecting individual differences.

The Library offers a large range of resources and spaces to assist learning and teaching (print, digital, audio visual). The value and relevancy of resources is maintained for optimum learning outcomes. Our focus is on implementing, enriching and supporting the LHC Learning Framework.

The Library supports students as critical and creative thinkers and empowers them to be independent learners and effective users of information. Individual learning styles and learning needs are met through collaboration with subject teachers.

The Library creates a welcoming, user-centred environment with a dynamic learning culture, staffed by skilled, committees and caring professionals.

Laptop Program

The 1-to-1 Laptop program at Lourdes Hill College involves each Year 9 student being provided with a Laptop for use at school and at home, software as specified and a bag, at the beginning of the academic year.
