Meet Our Inaugural Year 6 Junior School Leaders
Earlier this term, our inaugural Year 6 Junior School Leaders were appointed to lead the Junior School Student Council. The Council also includes students serving in Cultural, Service & Spirituality, Sport, and House Representative roles.
We recently interviewed four of the six leaders to learn more about their experiences, inspirations and hopes for the year ahead. We’re excited to introduce them to our community below.
Meet
The primary school I attended was St John Vianney's Primary School. The highlight of 2025 for me has been One Voice because I love being able to sing and be myself in front of an audience, and the Alice in Wonderland Junior School play because of the fun and creativity it involved. I also love the immersive music program that pushes me, bit by bit, out of my comfort zone by learning a new instrument.
My favourite thing about the LHC Junior School is that we all work together to turn the small ideas in our minds into big, exciting things that come to life, and we all get to enjoy them.
The person I look up to is Taylor Swift because her resilience helps her never give up. Her ideas are powerful, unique and loved around the world. She is always humble and grateful for her career, her friends, and those who have supported her. She helps people through both hard and happy times with her emotional music that comes from the heart; that’s why I look up to Taylor Swift.
My favourite Co-curricular activities are Drama and Singing, where I express my creativity, imagination and passion while having fun with friends and watching others’ amazing talents. When I'm older, I dream of becoming either a worldwide performer in singing (and maybe acting) or going to medical school and becoming a midwife.
Meet
I attended St Thomas' Catholic Primary School. A highlight for me has been getting to know the teachers and students across the Junior School.
My favourite part of being in the Junior School is having such supportive teachers who are always there to help.
I look up to my Parents, who have set a strong example for me since I was young.
Outside of school, I participate in Gymnastics and Sport Aerobics. When I grow up, I would love to become a teacher.

I previously went to St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Primary School. A highlight of 2025 has been achieving a School Captain role at LHC and joining all of the Co-curricular sports here.
My favourite thing about the LHC Junior School is how kind and supportive the teachers, principals and students are. I look up to Ned Brockmann as a leader because he shows that you should never give up on your dreams and always strive to do your best.
The Co-curricular activities I take part in are Aerobics, Netball, Athletics, Swimming, and Touch Football. When I grow up, I dream of becoming a professional photographer and travelling around Australia.

I attended St. Peter and Paul's, Bulimba, from Prep to Year 5. A highlight this year has been being awarded my leadership position, which was exciting for both me and the Year 6 Class. I’m grateful for the many opportunities I’ve already experienced at Lourdes Hill College.
What I love most about the Junior School is the supportive and welcoming environment. Everyone is kind to one another, even if they’re not close friends yet.
As a leader, I look up to my Teachers and Parents for their kindness and encouragement.
I love playing Netball for LHC, especially because I’ve made great friends in my team. When I grow up, I’d love to be a successful real estate agent or perhaps run my own business.
