Welcome back to Term 3! There is so much to look forward to this term.
This year, we kick-started our Middle School Lunchtime activities that run in the GSC every Monday. We’ve had a successful first semester with lots of girls across the Middle School showing up to participate in a range of different activities such as dodgeball, netball, volleyball and basketball! This has brought the girls together with the opportunity to meet new people. Thank you to those who have participated and suggestions for future activities are always welcome!
We will be holding a Minecraft competition later this term – this will be a great chance for students to show skills and work together in small groups. Stay posted as more information will be coming soon!
This term we also have our year level socials for our 7’s and 8’s. In July, Year 8’s will attend a social with St Laurence’s College where students from both schools come together for shared activities with a barbeque at the end! Likewise, in August, Year 7’s will have their first social with Villanova College. This is an awesome afternoon with trivia, games and just dance.
Finally, our Middle School Social Justice Project ‘Care for Kids’ is still running in Term 3. Every Thursday lunch in Duhig Hall you can help to support a great cause; this is also a chance to meet new people.
We’re so excited to see all of you shine bright throughout the term and we can’t wait to see what you can bring to our Middle School!

We hope everyone had a restful break and are ready for another great term ahead. Term 3 will certainly be a busy one, but don’t worry! Amongst the schoolwork and assessment there will be lots of fun days and opportunities to come together as a community, show school spirit, and represent what it truly means to be a Lourdes Girl.
So, what’s happening in Term 3 at LHC for our Seniors?
Coming up in Week 2, we have two major events. Wednesday is Bennie and Bernie’s Birthday Party and Purple Day! Make sure you stay tuned for updates on the monitors and from house captains (and Year 12’s, prepare your purple dress-up!)
The Year 12’s will celebrate 100 days until they finish school on Friday August 14, which is a huge milestone. Toward the end of term, our seniors will also complete their final mock exams in preparation for external assessment. We wish them all the very best – we know they will crush it! Following mocks, the seniors will head to retreat from the September 9 - 11, which is a wonderful opportunity for them to mark the final stages of their schooling journey together.
We are getting into the pointy end of the year now, which we know can feel stressful and at times very overwhelming. Girls: never forget that there are so many support nets to fall back on here at LHC, whether that be teachers, peers, or the Purple Hearts girls. When things get tough, remember that you are not alone in this!
We wish everyone an amazing term and cannot wait to see all senior students thrive, not only academically, but in the way they show up for one another. There is so much to get involved in, so get out there and have a go!
