Reportable Conduct Scheme
The College is committed to:
- providing a child safe environment in which the safety, wellbeing and best interests of children and young people are of primary importance;
- responding to reportable conduct allegations and convictions promptly, thoroughly, and in accordance with the law;
- conducting investigations that are independent, trauma-informed, and consistent with the principles of natural justice and procedural fairness;
- treating all parties involved in a reportable conduct matter – including the subject of an allegation, reporting parties, and affected children – with dignity and respect;
- maintaining strict confidentiality in the handling of all reportable conduct matters;
- communicating openly with those affected, to the greatest extent possible, and ensuring that people who raise concerns are kept informed of what has been done; and
- continuously improving its child safe practices in response to investigation findings and sector guidance.
