Welcome to the final issue of the Lourdanian Link for 2025. This year has been a testament to the spirited involvement of our Past Pupil community, and I look forward to seeing this continue to grow in 2026.

The LHC PPA celebrated many successful events this year, including the PPA Lourdes Day Mass, Past Pupils’ Seniors High Tea, Riverfire, the Careers and Networking Evening, and the Mass of Remembrance.

The Riverfire event brought Past Pupils together for a spectacular evening of connection, with our College grounds offering a wonderful vantage point for the city’s fireworks display. Our reunions also flourished, with many groups coming together to reminisce, rekindle friendships, and celebrate their shared history.

Looking ahead, we encourage all Past Pupils to start planning their reunions for 2026. These gatherings are a wonderful way to maintain the strong connections formed at Lourdes Hill College and to continue building our vibrant Past Pupil community. In 2026, the LHC Past Pupils’ Association will celebrate its Centenary. Special logos and merchandise have been created to mark this significant milestone, as well as a commemorative pin. The College will also celebrate its 110th Anniversary with two major events: a Lourdes Day Mass at Chandler Theatre and a Community Event on Saturday 21 February at Morningside Panthers. Students and staff will also receive a commemorative pin.

As we reflect on the past year, we celebrate the achievements and growth that have shaped our College community. We have embraced opportunities for innovation and built resilience through the challenges we faced. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year so memorable.

I hope you find time during the holiday period to rest, recharge and create lasting memories. Let us also remember the joy of the Christmas season and how each of us can make a positive difference in the lives of others.
