Year 9 camp at Alex Headlands was an amazing experience all about stepping out of our comfort zones and connecting with new people. We were encouraged to move beyond our usual friend groups, make new friendships, and build a stronger sense of unity as a grade.
Throughout camp, we took part in lots of fun and challenging activities like beach games, high ropes, and team challenges. These experiences helped us build confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
One of the most special moments was our liturgy with the teachers. We each were able to choose a shell that had been collected from the beach, using it as a symbol of reflection, calmness, and connection. It was a meaningful way to finish camp and reminded us how much we had grown together as a Year 9 community.
