Hello and welcome to our first Lourdanian Link newsletter for 2026.
I am sure just about all Past Pupils are aware that this year marks a significant milestone in the history of Lourdes Hill College (LHC). Not only is the College celebrating 110 years of educating both local and distant students, but the Lourdes Hill College Past Pupils' Association (LHCPPA) is also celebrating its Centenary.
Our Association reaching 100 years is an astonishing milestone. It reflects the commitment of the remarkable women who have walked the halls of LHC. They have generously shared their memories, time and talents to build an Association that fosters friendship, connection and a shared sense of belonging. For decades, women have encouraged one another to come together, celebrate both our differences and our shared experiences, and strengthen the enduring bonds that unite our community.
I wish to thank Principal Mrs Kay Gleeson, the Leadership Team, our Communications Team and all LHC Staff. At our AGM earlier this year, I expressed my gratitude to these groups, as I firmly believe they play a vital role in the ongoing success of the LHCPPA. They hold the extraordinary privilege of instilling in our students a love for LHC and fostering a lifelong connection to the College. We sincerely thank them for the time, dedication and enthusiasm they devote to this mission.
I encourage all Past Pupils to join us at one of our remaining Centenary celebrations. No matter when you graduated, there is an opportunity to reconnect with fellow Lourdanians and commemorate this special year together. You can read more about our upcoming events in this edition of Lourdanian Link here.
If any member of the LHCPPA Committee or I can assist you in any way, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our objective is to bring Lourdanians together to celebrate our College, our shared history and the lifelong friendships that begin here.
I hope you enjoy this edition of Lourdanian Link. As you read, I hope it brings back fond memories, keeps you connected with our College community, and perhaps even inspires you to reignite that purple, mauve and silver spirit.
