From sport, to service, to culture, Term 3 has been very busy for our LHC community! In our final full term of high school, it has been incredible to watch all students engaging and coming together as a community.
This term was jam-packed with events, one of the largest being the celebration of Purple Day. In Week 2, we could see a sea of purple, especially in our seniors who took the dress-ups to the next level! On this day we also celebrated Bernie and Bennie’s birthday, selling cupcakes and doing just dance in the GSC to honour our star mascots.
Week 6 also marked the much-anticipated Rock the Chop assembly, with over 90 girls chopping their ponytails to donate to wigs for the Cancer Council. Overall, LHC raised $91,000 for the Cancer Council, putting us second on the overall school’s leaderboard! The support from college students, staff, and families made this one of the most successful fundraisers the school has ever seen!
Year 12 also experienced several milestones this term, including their 100 days until graduation and retreat. With not long left to go, the three days away together were an opportunity to reflect on our journey and look forward to starting the next chapter of our lives.
We also had the Good Samaritan Foundation Day, Battle of the Bands, and Talent Show on the last day of school! We wish our Year 12’s all the best as they study hard these holidays for their external exams.
We hope everyone has a restful break and look forward to seeing you all back and refreshed for Term 4!
