Term 4 has certainly been a whirlwind of a term, jam-packed with assessment, events, and lots of goodbyes. We both wanted to take some time to reflect on the amazing things we all have accomplished and what we are looking forward to as we officially begin our role next year!
Term 4 is always bittersweet, as we farewell our Year 12 students. After their final official day in Week 3 and the completion of external exams, we said goodbye one final time at Graduation in Week 7. It was a lovely ceremony celebrating the achievements of an amazing cohort. However, as we farewell our Year 12’s, we welcome current Year 6’s to the Middle School and current Year 9’s to the Senior School. We hope you are all as excited as we are for the many new experiences coming your way.
In 2026, we hope to build upon the foundations left by the 2025 cohort and to ensure 2026 is a year filled with joy and the uniting of our mauve and white community. As the 2026 captains we hope to make next year one that prioritises student wellbeing and works to make LHC a safe and inclusive community. We will strive to build strong relationships across all year levels, fostering genuine and authentic belonging for all. We have a wonderful student council that will be supporting and working with us throughout the year and there are many plans and initiatives we are excited to get started on.
In week 1 of Term 1, we will also be launching our 2026 school theme, so we are very keen to unpack this with everyone and guide them through the 2026 year. We hope everyone has a lovely and restful holiday and we cannot wait to see you back next year. It will certainly be an amazing year, and we cannot wait to see what 2026 will hold.
