Term 2 has certainly been a busy term! There have been so many events, from culture, to sport, to service, and it’s been amazing to watch our LHC community thrive in all areas.
This term was especially bittersweet for the year 12 cohort, who experienced many of their ‘lasts’. There was such a strong sense of community at our last Cross Country, Open Day, and ANZAC Day wearing the purple uniform. We couldn’t be prouder of everyone for stepping up and embodying the true spirit, pride, and enthusiasm of a Lourdes girl.
One of our favourite memories was definitely the second and final game of Marian Cup, with our incredible netball team absolutely smashing Iona!! We know we speak for everyone when we say it is so inspirational to watch the determination and grit on display.
The Student Council has also been very hard at work to ensure the continuation of multiple initiatives, as well as the launch of the first Welcome Back BBQ. The second student vs teacher netball game was a huge success (congrats to the students for another win!), and Purple Hearts is still up-and-running, with a lot of positive feedback from all the girls involved.
Thank you so much to the staff, student council, and peers who contributed to making our last Term 2 at LHC so special. We are excited to see you all back again for our very last full term of high school (but not before the most anticipated event of all - our Year 12 formal!)
We are truly grateful to have had the privilege of leading our purple community this term. Keep working hard, and don’t forget – together we rise, together we shine!
