Your Path to Success Starts Now!

As we approach the final stretch of the Year 12 academic year, the importance of preparation for external exams cannot be overstated. These exams, commencing 27 October and concluding 14 November, are a pivotal moment for our Year 12 students, offering the opportunity to showcase their learning, resilience, and readiness for life beyond school.

To support our students in this crucial period, we will be opening the Benedict Library during the second week of the school holidays, from 9:00am to 3:00pm daily. This initiative is designed to provide a focused, supportive environment where students can revise, seek guidance, and build confidence ahead of their assessments.

Students will have access to the following academic support:
Mrs Perrier, Mrs Ferguson, and Ms Stirling – experienced LHC teachers ready to assist in Mathematics, English and Literature
Past pupils and external tutors – offering targeted help in:
•     English & Literature and SOR
•     General Maths, Mathematical Methods & Specialist Maths
•     Biology, Chemistry & Physics
•     Economics

This is a golden opportunity to ask questions, clarify concepts, and refine exam techniques with expert guidance.

Mock Exams: Practice Makes Perfect

Mock exams will be available for the majority of General Subjects, giving students a realistic exam experience to help reduce anxiety and improve performance.
Students must register via the Google Form to participate in these sessions. A detailed schedule was sent to students on Monday, 15 September.

Mixed Pathway Upskilling – Term 4 Opportunities
For our mixed pathway students, Term 4 will include a dynamic program of upskilling activities, such as:
•     First Aid certification
•     Auto Mechanics workshops
•     Self Defence training
•    Financial information
•    Cout Visits
•    Service Day
•    Tafe Visit and finalisation of VET qualifications
These hands-on experiences are designed to build practical skills and confidence as students prepare for life after school.

Preparation is not just about memorising facts—it’s about building habits, seeking support, and believing in your ability to succeed. We encourage students to take full advantage of the resources and opportunities available in the September break and in Term 4. Parents, your encouragement and involvement during this time can make a world of difference.

Let’s work together to ensure every Lourdes Hill student feels empowered and ready to shine.
