New building and expanded College-Club partnership taking shape

Lourdes Hill College and the Morningside Panthers are excited to announce a strategic partnership, aimed at strengthening and expanding the ongoing association between the two organisations.

The College and the Club have signed a new long-term agreement, which will deliver:

  • Further growth in female participation in AFL at all levels;
  • Conformation of Jack Esplen Oval as a primary venue for the College’s HPE, Co-curricular Sport and Wellbeing Programs; and,
  • Increased sharing of facilities and resources.

A key component of the expanded partnership is the construction of an exciting new building on-site at the Club that will provide changeroom facilities as well as well as multi-purpose spaces able to support wellness, gym, teaching and other activities.

As a major long-term partner of the Panthers, the College will have use of the expanded Panthers facilities during school hours, creating opportunities for all students to benefit from the partnership. Panther’s players and staff will have similar access to the College’s excellent facilities after hours to assist with their programs.

Lourdes Hill College Principal Mrs Kay Gleeson said the College was excited to continue its partnership with Morningside Panthers, and looked forward to working together to better the future of women in sport and promote healthy and active lifestyles.
